Hay Point Caisson and Scour Mat Inspections

Scope of Work

Assessment of the concrete caisson AC4 to determine the internal structural condition of the pre tensioned strand wires.

Diving Tasks:

• Identification of the cutting areas on the caisson concrete surface.
• Cut the concrete windows to expose the strand wire conduits using precision cutting technology.
• Cut a window on the metal conduits.
• Remove the filling concrete around the strand wires by hydro blasting.
• Expose the strand wires and inspect for structural integrity.
• Cut samples of the strand wires for laboratory analysis.
• Inspect the sour mattresses around the caisson to determine the overall condition (Berth 2 northern caisson and MC3).
