Scope of Work

Pacific Marine Group were engaged by McConnell Dowell to assist in building a new wharf for Fiji’s new Guardian Class Pacific Patrol Boats, this was a foreign aid project by the Australian Defence Force.

FIJI
  • International clearance and mobilisation of crane construction barge and tug from Townsville, QLD Australia to Suva, Fiji.
  • Operation of tug and crane construction barge to facilitate marine construction works, inclusive of crew and accommodation.
  • Create and work within a covid bubble throughoutthe project.
  • Driving 32 x 916mm piles.
  • Temporary works to suit custom combi-wall driving frame.
  • Construction of 65m long combi-wall using AZ26-700 sheetpiles.
  • Associated wharf construction tasks.
VANUATU (Port Vila)
  • International clearance and mobilisation• International clearance and mobilisationof crane construction barge and tug from Townsville, Qld to Port Vila, Vanuatu.
  • Operation of tug and crane construction barge to facilitate marine construction works, inclusive of crew and accommodation.
  • Create and work within a covid bubble throughout the project.
  • Offsite prefabrication of wharf components including walkways, headstocks, fenders.
  • Drive 16 x 916mm piles.
  • Associated wharf construction tasks.
